What is involved

   Your phone number

   A number, and the six-digit code we text to it.

   Your number is how you sign in. It is never shown to an employer.

2. 2

   The basics

   Your name, your ZIP code, and the kind of work you are looking for.

   An employer sees your name, your state and the work you want — never your ZIP or your address.

3. 3

   Identity check

   A photo of your ID and a selfie, taken on your phone.

   Checked by our verification partner. The photos never reach us and never reach an employer — they see the word verified, and nothing behind it.

4. 4

   Work history and skillsOptional

   Where you have worked, what you did there, what you can do, and when you can work.

   This is the part employers read. You choose what is on it and you can change it any time.

5. 5

   ReferencesOptional

   The name and email of a former manager, so we can ask them to confirm a job.

   They answer one question on one page, with no account and nothing to install. They never see the rest of your Passport.

6. 6

   DocumentsOptional

   Photos of certificates and licences you hold.

   Stored locked and never handed over. A shared Passport names a certificate; the file itself never travels.

7. 7

   Your Passport

   Nothing more — this is the part you get.

   One link you can send to any employer, that you can turn off whenever you like, and that shows you every time it is opened.

A background check is not part of this. If an employer needs one, we ask your permission first and tell you exactly what it covers.
